E-day is upon us!

For those of you who work in elementary schools, or know those who do, D-Day (or should we say E-day?) is here- the introduction of English as a mandatory subject in elementary school.

We've written several times here at Educareer on how the new requirements are causing concern for Japanese English teachers who aren't confident in their English ability and how demand for native teachers is sure to increase with the new rules. We look forward to hearing from native teachers as to how the new rules are implemented at their respective schools and the effectiveness of the government's plans for creating a generation of students enthusiastic about English.
