Government to Ease Visa Restrictions
2011/06/14
The Japanese government is launching a new plan to encourage select foreigners to come to Japan by offering extended visa terms, reduced time for permanent residency approval, and support for dependents. The proposed system is a point system, where education, salary, company position, and Japanese ability will be weighed to qualify, and foreigners currently in Japan are lobbying to be able to qualify under the new system as well.
The new incentives are primarily to draw in talent in the fields of technology and banking but may eventually apply to those in the education field who are qualified. All the more reason to search for a stable job such as direct hire through EduCareer!
