Super Cool Biz
2011/06/23
For those of us in Kanto, it's looking to be a hot summer. Electricity saving means air conditioning is being used less or completely turned off in many schools, stores, and trains.
Fortunately many places, schools included, are adopting "Super Cool Biz", an even more extreme version of the "Cool Biz" campaign that encourages workers to shed ties and jackets in an effort to keep energy consumption down. Super Cool Biz dispenses with suits altogether, allowing polo shirts and jeans for workers. As current guidelines recommend offices be kept at 28 degrees Celsius it is good to have some options for keeping (slightly) cooler!
