A high academic level junior and senior high school in Ichikawa City is seeking an English teacher who can teach both English Literature and Communication classes. This position requires teachers to teach both regular ESL students, as well as returnee/native level students. Contract period: Apr 2026 - Mar 2027
Contract type: Dispatch
Payment: 300,000 - 380,000yen/month (before tax) + transportation
*Depending on background and experience.
Insurance: Social insurance and employment insurance
Working days: 5 days a week including Saturday (Sunday and one weekday off)
Working hours: 8:30−17:00
Lesson: Up to 20 lessons/week (Conversation, Literature, Essay Writing, Presentation)
Work Duties:
-Planning and teaching lessons
-Making and marking exams
-Developing curriculum and material
-Judging at speech contests
-Teaching seasonal courses
-Teaching after school classes
-Teaching on school open days
-Correcting essays
-Attending meetings, school events, and teacher training
Candidates must:
-be living in Japan with a valid work visa
-have a bachelor's degree or higher
-have 2 years minimum of relevant teaching experience (returnee/native level students, literature, and essay writing at college entrance exam level)
-have a good understanding of Japanese culture and school work life
