Our client school is looking for a maternity cover teacher. Although this is a short-term position, it may be a good fit for someone who enjoys working with young learners and is open to teaching immersion English and science classes. Immersion-style classes are still quite rare in the Japanese school system, so it would be a great opportunity to experience something beyond regular ALT work. Contract Type: Dispatch (haken)
Contract Period: Nov 1, 2026 - Mar 31, 2027
Monthly Remuneration: 280,000yen to 330,000yen (before tax)+ transportation
*Depending on qualification and experience
Working Days: Mon - Fri
Hours: 8:15-17:15
Insurance: Social Insurance (Health and Pension) and Employment Insurance

<Work Duties>
-Teaching up to 20 lessons/week (mostly English and some science classes)
-Lesson preparation
-Curriculum and material development
-Attending meetings
-Attending school events and ceremonies (including religious events and ceremonies)
-Test making and grading
-Journal checking
-Eating lunch with students
-Supervising during cleaning time
-School commute/arrival supervision
-Home room duties

<Candidates Must>
* have a Bachelor's degree or higher
* have experience teaching in Japanese schools
* have the knowledge and ability to teach both English and science
* be able to create engaging lessons at the elementary level
* be residing in Japan and have a valid visa
