Our client school in Sakado City is looking for SHS ESL teachers to teacher their regular course English classes. This position is great if you are planning to transition from ALT work to more of a lead teacher role. The main focus of the lessons should be fun and encouraging student output.

<Job Description>

Contract type - independent contractor (gyomuitaku)

Contract period - April 2026 - March 2027 (renewable based on performance)

Annual salary - 3,360,000JPY ~ 3,720,000JPY (before tax) + transportation

Workdays - 5 days including Saturday

*Classes are not scheduled on weekends and National holidays except special occasions such us sports day, school festival, and open school days*

Schedule - up to 20 classes/week, scheduled 1st to 7th period

Teaching content - Oral communication, presentation, writing, etc.

*Lead team-teaching with a Japanese teacher*

Other duties outside of English classes

-Lesson planning

-Curriculum and material development

-Teaching intensive summer and winter English courses

-Teaching English classes on school open days (2-3 times a year on Saturday)

-Instructing and judging at English speech contests

-Correcting and grading essays

-Making, marking, and proofreading English exams

<Qualification Requirements>
* Must have a bachelor's degree or higher
* At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
* Must currently reside in Japan with a valid visa
